She’s the character present in all of my novels, even the ones still in my head. In all of them, she’s the same persona – herbalist, wise-woman, witch, shaman, midwife or healer. Her role is adjusted to meet the setting of the WIP, but in each she’s the anchor of that world.
In Symbiosis she’s a wise-woman who lives in a cottage on the island-within-the-island. She takes Kali under her wing and teaches her the ropes of the strange new world she eventually will come to call ‘home’.
