Last night I looked at the clock on the computer and saw it was 12:20 – way after my usual bedtime. How had those hours slipped by unnoticed?
I had been listening to music, writing and rewriting, and erasing and rewriting again on my synopsis for Symbiosis. To have lost track of time like that actually made me feel pretty good because I must have been very involved in the story for that to happen.
Earlier on Saturday a rejection came in for The Courier, a short story I’ve been trying to get placed. It’s been rejected often enough now that it’s time to take a look at it. I’m working on other projects right now, though, so I think I’ll submit to the slush workshop at the Universe Annex at the Grantsville Gazette and see if I can get some feedback on what’s wrong with it.
The weather is nasty today. Cool and raining. But yesterday we bought a new propane heater and I’d like to start working on getting it installed today. I can at least do the inside parts and do the outside parts when the weather lets up.
It’s hard to pull myself away from the computer right now to get other things done, though I need to try. Dishes and clothes don’t wash themselves and heaters don’t install themselves either, haha. I might care more about the heat later when it really gets cold and if power goes out! Then I’ll be mad at myself. So okay… I’m off to do things.
