Saturday Musings

I want to use Sundays to talk about my Acorn Plan (my sprouting writerly business plan).  So Saturday will become the new Musing day. But this Sunday I have two posts planned. One to introduce the Acorn Plan and the second to introduce my guest who will appear on my blog Tuesday.

Once I’m done with this post, I think I’ll make a schedule to post in the side-bar, like Sonia Lal mentioned doing on her recent posts. (I know I saw her mention it, but I can’t find that post anywhere on her website now…anyway, I’m stealing the idea from her).

So I check my stats for this blog fairly frequently, but not as often as I have in the past. Today I noticed a pleasing pattern, one I hope will continue. I’m a fairly competitive person, but mainly with myself. I love to out-perform my own previous performances.

It appears that for the past four weeks I’ve broken through to a ‘greater than 800 page-loads’ bar on the graph. For the first two years my blog lingered in the ‘less than 100′ zone of the same graph.

Thank you. It is less my own doing and more yours.

Lately I’ve been rewriting and editing Symbiosis. Specifically I’m working on a scene that’s giving me a lot of grief. I need it for the story so I can’t just toss it, but the first and second edits didn’t do much to improve the quality of the writing. So the going is slow on this part and I’m eager to get it done so I can move on to smoother edits.

Some blog clean-up is the perfect form of procrastination so when I hit the next bog in that scene I’m editing, that’s when I’ll add my side-bar and another page to my blog. This new page is a precursor to the fulfillment of one of my related goals. I think you’ll like it.
