Sunday Musings

Happy Easter!

Not too many musings for today because I’m hot on the tail end of editing my story and I’d like to get it done before I leave to watch grandbaby girls hunt Easter eggs. In reality, I probably won’t get far enough and will have to stop at the REALLY frustrating point of ‘almost there’.

A lot of Fictioneers (maybe all the email blog subscribers) did not get the photo prompt on Wednesday when I posted it to my blog. Something must have misfired with WordPress I guess.

To avoid missing it in the future, if you have a Facebook account either ‘Like’ my page or ‘Friend’ me because I always post it there, too. That’s the only thing I know to suggest because I don’t know why the emails didn’t go out for the blog post subscribers.

There’s a conference coming to the Ozarks in October. I’m planning to attend this one just for the chance to pitch to Cherry Weiner, an awesome agent. Daniella Rapp of St. Martin’s Press will also be there, but it doesn’t look like she is seeking the genre I write. But I definitely would like to pitch to Cherry.

Which means this short-story editing has to get DONE this weekend, so I can get back to work on editing the novel I am wanting to pitch. Here’s a link to OCW’s new blog. You might recognize Lou Turner (publisher for High Hill Press, and the organizer and blog mistress for OCW)  from her input on my Thursday pitch slams here.

Y’all have fun for the rest of your weekend!
